WhatsApp business chat will drive sales sooner than metaverse

Meta Platforms Inc Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg told employees on Thursday that WhatsApp and Messenger would drive the company's next wave of sales growth, as he sought to assuage concerns about Meta's finances after its first mass layoffs. Zuckerberg, addressing pointed questions at a company-wide meeting a week after Meta said it would lay off 11,000 workers, described the pair of messaging apps as being "very early in monetizing" compared to its advertising juggernauts Facebook and Instagram, according to remarks heard by Reuters. Taxi driver allegedly attacked with EFTPOS machine at airport

WARNING DISTRESSING CONTENT A Sydney taxi driver says he’s lucky to be alive after he was viciously attacked with an EFTPOS machine at Sydney Airport. New South Wales Police have charged a 25-year-year-old Uber driver over the incident, which happened on Friday morning at the taxi rank of the international terminal. But the 25-year-old year-old victim, known as Maaz, said he doesn’t believe the brutal attack was justified. “I don’t know him. I was just going (about) a normal day. A McDonald’s customer was left stunned after she spotted a miniature horse in the backseat of a car at the drive thru. In a video uploaded to TikTok, the customer reveals the moment she turned to her left at the drive thru only to see a miniature horse in the back seat of a black Honda, with his head out the window looking around.
