The employee of a US restaurant that closed days before Christmas before its rebranding in the new year has shared the text message her manager sent staff to inform them of the shock news. It was delivered to workers after the 1801 Grille restaurant on the University of South Carolina (USC) campus announced it was closing on December 22, before reopening under a new name and management next year.
