Microsoft offers Sony 10-year contract for Call of Duty releases

Microsoft has offer ed Sony a 10-year contract to make each new "Call of Duty" release available on PlayStation the same day it comes to Xbox, according to an opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal on Monday from a Microsoft executive. Sony's gaming chief Jim Ryan said in September that Microsoft's earlier offer to keep the popular game series made by Activision Blizzard on PlayStation for three years after the current agreement expires was inadequate. Xbox maker Microsoft's latest offer to Sony comes as it faces increased regulatory scrutiny over its $69 billion buyout deal for Activision Blizzard. The offer , made in January, has attracted regulatory headwinds in the European Union, Britain and in the United States, with Sony criticizing the deal and even calling for a regulatory veto. Twitter said on Thursday that select content creators on the social media platform will be eligible to get a part of the advertising revenue the company earns. Google Meet to now offer 1080p on video calls

Google Meet is now rolling out 1080 resolution on its video calls , as it strives to com Pet e with Zoom and Microsoft Teams which already offer HD video resolutions. The new update is available only for the web currently and requires a camera with 1080p capabilities and is limited to two-person meetings. The feature has been made available for paid Google Meet versions along with Google One subscribers with at least 2TB of storage. Sega offers $776 million for Angry Birds maker Rovio

HELSINKI: Japan's Sega Sammy Holdings Inc has agreed to launch an offer for Finland's Rovio Entertainment , the maker of the Angry Birds mobile Game , for 706 million euros ($775.8 million ), the companies said in a joint statement on Monday. Tokyo-based Sega will offer 9.25 euros per share for Rovio, a 19% premium over Friday's closing price of 7.775 euros. Rovio, which has been conducting a strategic review, on Saturday said it was in talks with Sega over a possible tender offer. The Wall Street Journal had reported on Friday that a deal between the two companies was imminent. Israeli peer Playtika, had made a preliminary bid in January to buy Rovio for 683 million euros, but the Angry Birds maker confirmed last month talks had ended.
