Millions of social media users who love to share their best photos of the year online are being urged to be wary of fake apps trying to steal their personal information. At the end of each year, Instagram users post a “top nine” of their most liked photos by using one of several apps that exist to create the collage . Google Chrome set to stop working for millions next week

Millions of Microsoft users still using older Windows versions 7, 8, or 8.1 will no longer be able to use Google Chrome from next week, when the internet giant drops its support for the operating systems. The move comes in unison with Google’s newest Chrome release, the first version to require Windows 10 or later. As Google Chrome rolls out version 110 on February 7, it leaves behind version 109 - the last Chrome browser to support older versions of Windows. Authorities are investigating the cause behind a fish kill in South Australia’s Riverland. Millions of dead carp were seen floating on the water at Lake Bonney over the weekend. The lake in Barmera, about a three-hour drive from Adelaide, is a popular tourist attraction for people visiting the SA stretch of the River Murray. ACCC warns millions of Telstra customers about letter scam

Millions of Telstra customers are being warned to stay on the lookout for letters sent by scammers aimed at convincing people to hand over money. Scamwatch, run by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), shared the warning alongside a photo of the type of letter currently being used by fraudsters. “Beware, scammers are using letter s like this to convince people to withdraw money and hand it over in person to someone that will collect it from their home,” Scamwatch wrote.
