NBA San Antonio Spurs vs Golden State Warriors Same Game Parlay picks: Wemby causes a shock at +696 odds
The Golden State Warriors have not had the start to the season they would have liked. They currently sit 11th in the Western Conference and out of the play-in picture. They will look at tonight’s home Game as the perfect opportunity to bounce back. They are taking on a San Antonio Spurs team that is bottom of the conference. However, they do possess one of the most exciting talents in generations in Victor Wembanyama, When these sides met in preseason, the rookie sensation dropped 19 points in 21 minutes. If he can keep that level of scoring up tonight, this could turn into a very entertaining battle.
Make sure to check out all of our previews for tonight’s NBA slate. But for now lets dive into my same Game parlay below.
San Antonio Spurs ML (+385)
Victor Wembanyama to score 20+ points (-105)
Parlay odds: +696
San Antonio Spurs ML (+385)
Hear me out on this. I know that the Spurs are struggling and on a 10-game losing streak, but this game should be close. The Warriors are not a dominant force right now. The hosts have won just 2 of their last 10 games. Over that same stretch, these teams are 27th and 28th in true shooting percentage respectively. With Draymond Green still serving his suspension and the Spurs welcoming back Devin Vassell, this should be a very competitive game. With the hosts also just 2-6 at home this season, the visiting Spurs seem terrific value to cause an upset here.
Wembanyama will be an x-factor tonight too. His ability to switch on pick and rolls and impact guards on the perimeter should really limit the likes of Stephen Curry. The Warriors superstar is undoubtedly the best shooter in History, but he has not had to take many shots over a 7’4” giant. The points on the Spurs is a great look, but the real value looks to be on the money line tonight.
Victor Wembanyama to score 20+ points (-105)
The Warriors recently gave up a 36-point Game to Chet Holmgren. WeNBAnyama has a similar offensive arsenal to his rookie rival. And while he might be less efficient, his usage is bigger. That should allow him to have an equally successful night against the Warriors here. It is hard to see who the hosts will throw at him to try and slow him down. Without Green, they will have to either go with an undersized wing or someone like Kevon Looney. Any wing would struggle to contest his jumpers while Looney will have issues staying in front of him off the dribble or to keep him off the offensive glass. Over his last 4 Games he has scored 20 or more twice, hitting 19 in the other. With a favourable matchup here, look for him to continue that run.
